Some towns along the Connecticut have already flooded. The other day, melting ice clogged drains built to prevent a cemetery from sliding down a hillside onto roads and backyards. Several elderly homeowners had to be rescued from the resulting mudslide that reached their first-floor windows. They're predicting rain and snow for the next five days. We just hope the rain comes slowly, so rivers have a chance to absorb and empty between storms. We still have a foot of snow on the ground and further north, they have two to four.
