Laughs have become rare air for me as my quill become a chainsaw and my ink well... you get the punishment.
I miss the world before Earth Day this year, embarrassed by my own fey response to this ghastly present, horrified by our darkening future.
Part of me is shutting down again, afraid of wronging my friends because I can't get at my enemies around the Isle of Wright while this oil uncoils my sense of taste and timing.

It's getting harder to laugh at the comics aimed at the oil spill; the damned oil keeps pushing up out of that hole, wildlife is dying right and left, and people who's livelihood depended on the Gulf can't make a living any more. It just hurts too much as the pictures keep flashing on TV and the Internet.
I think I need to watch Concert for George again; I need to get my happy place back.
