Aloha!

Man, do I love this place! Hawaii even has compulsory employer-provided health insurance for anyone who works at least twenty hours a week. Believe it or not, everyone here seems pretty laid back despite this blatant theft of their "freedoms" by the state. How could they be so blind? They're living in a police state and don't even know it. It's a frightful price to pay for the knowledge that when you're sick you can go to the doctor or the hospital and worry only about your illness...

Even the BFI himself has nothing but good things to say about Hawaiian health care...

I took the photo above from our table at dinner. T. saw a pair of whales cavorting in the distance...

This is our view from the restaurant where we had dinner. T. saw a pair of whales cavorting in the distance.

I don't know how you could have an appetite...seeing the plight of all of the socialist slaves that were cooking and waiting on you.

You should eat Manapua...food of the gods (spiced pork)

I have half a dozen Sol Hoopi mp3's but I had never seen his image before; thanks.

I know what you mean: Talk about the sorrow and the pity.

If the opportunity presents itself, I will try manapua.

Sol is on this History of the Hawaiian Steel Guitar CD I found here once, which is how I first heard of him.

@Steven, yeah, those socialists with health care were really suffering....

I love the islands....do you know that they call flights back to the mainland the "The Plane of Tears?" Enjoy your trip, soak it all up!! Your fellow citizens in the east and south are suffering. You MUST have fun to tip the cosmic balance back toward center!

Lucky you!

And I'm hoping the movement for single care in California succeeds.

I never realized Hawaii was Massachusetts-west, minus the snow!
Hope you have a great time, if that's possible, considering...
