Katrina Pictures

I invite all of you to view my gallery of post-Katrina pictures here. I took most of the photos from a moving van, so they are on the raw side. I decided against touching them up because I wanted you to see what we saw.

When I think of the hopes and dreams formerly held within the walls of those ravaged homes it breaks my heart.

Scientists and engineers who knew this level of damage was possible issued warnings years ago, but those in charge of funding didn't heed them. More than a force of nature, Katrina was a man-made disaster. That's the real tragedy.
