Today's Mardi Gras parades: Krewe of Oshun, Krewe of Pygmalion, Krewe of Excalibur, Krewe of Atlas, Krewe of Cleopatra, the Krewe of Eve, and Mona Lisa and Moon Pie.
If you didn't know it already, you know it now: DON'T MESS WITH OLD BROADS!...
Robert Frost's Banjo drove all over Idaho without his glasses. Luckily, he still had his ears and some great tunes...
Friday's Choice: What better way to kick off a weekend of NOLA parades than with Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk leading the way (and as for all that negative stuff, "Put It In The Dumpsta"!):

Great Mardi Gras pix & a wonderful heads up to "Sylvia from Over the Hill." That video is dance music, for sure.
Thanks as always for the plug. From now on, I keep my spare glasses in the car.
Hey, love the Mardi Gras pics, brought back a lot of memories -- all good ones! And thanks for the link! appreciate it! And if I wasn't dealing with asthma this afternoon I'd be up dancing! great video! Happy Valentines Day and have a great weekend!
Yeah you right! Great stuff from Ivan Neville. I can't make it down to NOLA, but I damn well have my beads around and maybe I'll throw 'em at somebody.
Hey K,
Loved the video! When can I see these guys? Happy Valentines Day!
Minneapolis has a great Jazz radio station, that has a festival each year, where they often bring in Charmaine Neville. She authentically invites the audience to visit her, if they come to NO.
I liked Ivan's site.
The jazz station is very interesting on Saturdays. They have an hour each of Sinatra, Crosby and Dee Dee Bridgewater, followed by a show about great sidemen. The day is given to bluegrass.
