Weekly Address: New Momentum for Health Care Reform

The president cites the growing number of Republicans who support health care reform. Unfortunately, too many of them are former elected officials with no influence today other than the frail authority of their voices. Which, in the climate of today's Washington, is no influence at all even if you are Bob Dole or Bill Frist. In terms of what Obama must convey to the people of the United States, it's useful and necessary to remind us that the obstructionists in Congress don't represent every Republican out there...

Over at the New Orleans Ladder, Editilla sez that Obama's upcoming trip to NOLA may cost him at least one vote...Clifton at Cliff's Crib thinks that NOLA must show Obama more than a good time...

Did you catch Rep. Alan Greyson's most recent speech? My new hero! Between folks like this speaking out, and groups like Mad As Hell Doctors spreading the word, I think we might just have a chance at pulling this off.

Oops - that's Grayson, not Greyson! If he's my hero of the week, I should at least spell his name right!
My apologies!

Oh Snap! A Stood'Update~
It appears that our President can't spend too much time in the City That Boy George Left For Dead because...he has a date with Daddy Big George?
From New Orleans, POTUS heads to San Francisco for a DNC fundraiser that evening, and then Friday he flies to College Station, Texas, for a Presidential Forum on community service hosted by former President George H.W. Bush and the Points of Light Institute at the George Bush Presidential Library Center on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Yes, Well! Excuuuuse US, Mista'POTUS!
Point this Family Affair!

He's got a partay wit'da Clan --literally! Hahahahaha
He needs to do more than just shake a leg on House of the Rising Sun. And it is beginning to look like he will barely have time for even that --at an as yet undisclosed location!
Bwhahahahaha
I'm laughing alligator tears, K, can't you hear them?
I certainly expected to defend my vote for Obama to my heathen republican siblings --but now so soon, NOT in New Orleans and especially not after he's won the Nobel Prize for Butter--but it's Not!

Jus'sayin, I might be about ready for Hillary Clinton after 4 more years of this centrists pandering.
Harrumph!

I vote for a Commander in Big Chief, K, not little indian braves.
