Great Endings: For Whom The Bell Tolls

He was waiting until the officer reached the sunlit place where the first trees of the pine forest joined the green slope of the meadow. He could feel his heart beating against the pine needle floor of the forest.

I'm thinking a great ending is the 111th Congress finally pulling their heads outta their asses, but Ernest Hemingway works, too.

Merry Christmas!

"MC to U2" well it took me a couple of minutes to decipher what I thought was a scientific formula....

Middle age is hell....you have to accept the fact that you cannot keep up and you have to find comfort in the past because the past is the only thing you understand... :)

Merry Christmas to you K and your family....in the spirit of past Christmas'

My nieces and nephews don't understand why I don't text or tweet...and why I always grumble about speaking english!

Whoever invented middle age should never have been given a patent. On the other hand, I do get the references in Men of a Certain Age.

Great ending but still my least favourite Hemingway book

It's not For Whom The Bell Tolls or The Sun Also Rises, but it's a terrific page-turner.
