Today, we hiked to a waterfall on Cougar Mountain.
This trail was originally created by Indians over 10,000 years ago.
Cougar Mountain was mined for coal around the turn of the century. Remnants of mine shafts cross under the trail.

Oh, how gorgeous! Thanks for the beautiful views.
You have that much green already? Wow! We're still pretty brown here.
Don't you love old trails?
That looks like a fun hike-- great photos!
These top photos don't look real, they are SO lush and green and look like somehwere I WANT TO BE! Beautiful! I know you and T and the kiddoes had a wonderful time! I wish I could come visit!
Well, why don't you?
Same reason I don't buy a Mazarati.....
But maybe a visit someday....and will T bake a chocolate cake for me for my arrival?
Hmmmmm, let me think about this! Maybe in August when I'm dyin' in the heat down here..
Beautiful pictures. The top one is my favorite. Love the various shapes and shades of green.
